Two female suicide bombers, four others died in an attack on Kano textile market Wednesday afternoon. Seven others sustained various degree’s of injury.
Eyewitness told Vanguard that two teenagers came into the market posing as customers.
The account explained that the suicide bombers on arrival demanded to use one of the convenience located in the market.
The eyewitness stated that “they were denied access to the Rest room which led to a shouting match that drew a large crowd”
Vanguard learnt immediately a noticeable crowd gathered one of the suicide bomber detonated her bomb, while the other bomb went off in quick succession.
The incident caused panic in the restive city as the market was shut to forestall looting.
Confirming the incident, the Kano police Commissioner; Mr. Adelenre Shinaba revealed that two suicide bombers, 4 others died during the attack.
Shinaba futher disclosed that 7 others were also injured during the blast, adding that they have been taken to the hospital.
He stated that the market has been shut to enable the police frisked the commercial hub and as well prevent looting.
