Soldiers Friday morning went on rampage at the Palmgroove area on Ikorodu Road, Lagos after a BRT bus allegedly knocked down a soldier on a motorcycle.
It could not be ascertained if the soldier died in the accident.
There was pandemonium as soldiers took to the streets setting ablaze BRT buses, beating up drivers and conductors while others parked theirs vehicles and ran for dear life.
It’s gathered that the operations of the BRT buses have been grounded as commuters were stranded on major bus stops with others trekking to their destinations. This is so due to the reliance commuters place on BRT bus service. It is also unclear the circumstances surrounding this incident.
