Jubilation has erupted in Osogbo, the Osun state capital following reports about the results of today’s election which have already put incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the APC far ahead of his closest rival, Iyiola Omisore of the PDP. Aregbesola has already won in 19 out of 30 council areas in the state as earlier reported while more results coming in indicate that he would still win nothing less that seven LGs more limiting Omisore’s victory to his Ile-Ife home alone.
