Ebola Epidemic: Nigeria Records 139 Cases, Bans Transportation Of Corpses

Just like a bad joke the Ebola Virus Disease,EVD, which landed in Nigeria by accident has so far been contracted by 139 Nigerians! So frightening is the impact of the spread of the killer disease that the Federal government has banned the movement of any dead bodies to anywhere in the country to avoid the further spread of the virus.

The minister of state for health, Dr. Khairu Al-Hassan, said ” dead bodies from any location will no longer be transported again to any part of this country”.

He said” Anybody who dies will be buried atthe location where he/she died especially from the three major affected countries of Ebola”.

Dr. Al-Hassan Said this in Kano on Saturday while meeting with Northern Emirs Committee on the primary healthcare held at government house Kano.

The minster explained that about 139 cases have been reported of Ebola virus in the country, adding that those affected are under strict control.onye
